This is how it works: Pantone observe the runway shows and come up with the colour trends they consider relevant. Their colour trends for SS2013 are out now:

I have divided them into three groups. Click on the names to see who looks good in them:

1. Energy colours, represented by Poppy Red, Cobalt blue, and Lemon Zest.
2. Aquas and Whites, represented by Dusky Blue and Grayed Jade, and Linen, respectively.
3. Pastels, represented by Tender Shoots, African Violet, Emerald (which is not emerald but a green turquoise) and Nectarine.
